Job Detail: Team Lead - Patient Access - FT (915TL0509d)
Responsible for providing feedback on daily registration processes and staffing issues to the Patient Access Director/Supervisor. Provides assistance to staff level employees as necessary to ensure compliance with department policies and procedures. Assists the Director with staffing, report reconciliation and QA process. Provides management back up when director/supervisor are not available. The PTAC Team Leads will manage workload and perform in a service excellence manner to best represent the facility and department. This position also performs other duties as assigned and as deemed necessary by the department director in order to achieve success of the department and facility.
Essential Job Functions:
Meets all active working position requirements in regards to accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of work performed, primarily Registration / PBX. Oversees patient flow. Fully competent in PBX operations, handles payments and upfront collections as required, and assists as requested in the QA process. Enters accurate and timely orders for designated patient exams. Responds to requests from other department that directly affect patient care in an accurate and timely manner.
Ability to meet minimum hospital hiring standards. High school or GED. 1-3 years related experience preferred.
