Job Description

The Behavioral Health UR/Intake Coordinator is a member of the interdisciplinary team who attends and participates in treatment planning and in all staff meetings. The UR/Intake Coordinator answers intake calls and determines the disposition of the patient according to the clinical criteria and directs the caller to the appropriate services. The Behavioral Health UR/Intake Coordinator performs face- to-face assessments in the ER, establishes clinical criteria, obtains insurance pre-certification and facilitates transfer to SWBHC, or other facility or out-patient services as needed. The Behavioral Health UR/Intake Coordinator is responsible for obtaining authorizations for admission and continued stay for assigned patients. Must possess ability to effectively screen. Must have knowledge of EMTALA, JCAHO and CMS standards and the ability to follow oral and written instructions

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATON
• BCLS
• CAPE
• Valid Drivers License issued in the State of Oklahoma

EDUCATION:
•Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years experience as a MHT II.

EXPERIENCE:
•Previous experience in Intake and/or UR is preferred.
