Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs the functions of a Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and treating all patients seen in the Behavioral Health Center under the direct and indirect supervision of the psychiatrist.

TASKS:
•Perform History and Physical Exams on patients
•Manage the medical needs of patients
•Assist psychiatrist with completion of Discharge Summaries as assigned
•Manage Performance Improvements, collects data, interpret and reports findings to Behavioral Administration & QA/Risk Management quarterly
•Perform face to face evaluation of patients following incidents of restraint and/or seclusion
•Maintain accurate, detailed progress reports and records
•Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
•Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition
•Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
•Promotes customer service (Patients, Families, Visitors, Employees)
•Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:
Previous clinic experience is preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Licensure as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma or licensed Physician Assistant.
Prescriptive Authority
Current certification by the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Associates or other
applicable certification
